Sunward Grinding Media

Sunward's grinding media have superior quality in apparent in its white, uniformly sized sphericity.
The grinding media which are made of ZrO2+HfO2 (>94.3wt%) and Y2O3 (5.1~5.3wt%) have a specific gravity which is greater than 6.0 g/cm3 ,outstanding wear resistance and is free from contamination. High density media allow higher product feed rates to be used in wet milling process. Media roundness and narrow size distribution result in the most effective energy transfer from the rotating agitator system to the media.
The microstructure of Y-TZP grinding media is a key factor to superior strength. The micrograph shows the uniformity in grain structure and explains why Sunward can compete with leading brand and provide our customers high output without contamination problems.
