‧	2023 - FEB	Sunward is a member of New Calderys group.
‧	2022 - DEC	Cooperated with MIRDC to revamp the high temperature tunnel kiln.
‧	2020 - Nov 2	Sunward is acquired by Imerys, the world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions, offering value-added solutions based on its minerals and formulations, and contributing essential properties to customers’ products and performance, including refractoriness. With Sunward Refractories, the Imerys group broadens its refractories expertise and strengthens its position in the Taiwan market. By joining Imerys, Sunward benefits from the group’s solid processes and larger development opportunities, strong safety systems, quality procedures, R&D resources and a stable supply chain.
‧	2018-October	Full filled the requirements as ISO9001:2015、ISO14001:2015、OHSAS 18001: 2007 certified by The Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC).
‧	2015-August	Full filled the requirements as ISO9001:2008、ISO14001:2004、OHSAS 18001: 2007 certified by The Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan, R.O.C
‧	2015	Establishment of joint venture company Kunshan Sichuang Sunward Refractory Material Co.Ltd
‧	2014	Performance upgraded of automatic packing system.
‧	2013	Reconstruction of monitoring system for Automatic batching.
‧	2012	Setting up two Shuttle Kilns and a Wet Gunning Machine.
‧	2010	Successfully developing “Non-Cement Wet Gunning Materials for Main Trough” and passed the trail by CSC (China Steel Corporation).
‧	2008	Signing agreement of overall technological cooperation with KOROSAKI. ECO-plant set up for efficient materials reusing to achieve environmental protection goals.
‧	2007	2800t Auto brick making machine put into production.
‧	2006-January	In view of safety, quality environment and sustainable development, Sunward Refractories Co., Ltd, were certificated by ISO9001:2000 on 2001, BSI (British Standards Institution) for ISO14001:2004 and OHSAS18001:1999 manage system.

‧	2005-May	The joint venture “ZHANGJIAGANG SANHE SHAGANG REFRACTORIES CO., LTD.” officially started its operation and production.
‧	2005-March	In order to provide our customers with the most comprehensive services, the Department of Engineering Technology was established and provides the services of integrating design, construction, and supplying the materials.
‧	2003-October	The National United University has excellent and successful experience in researching the ceramic material, refractory material, and glass material industries. On October, 23rd, 2003, our Chairman, Mr. Henry Tong, signed the cooperation contract with “NUU” in order to train more professional engineers.
‧	2002-September	Sunward Ceramic Corporation was approved by ISO 9001:2000 quality systems of quality assurance in design, manufacturing and production.
‧	2001-March	Sunward Ceramic Corporation was established and strives to develop the marketing of the fine ceramic series products.

S.H.E Policy

Sunward Refractories Co., Ltd is a professional manufacturer of shaped refractory and unshaped refractory products since1968. The mainly environmental issues may occur when producing our products are dust, exhaust gas, and rejection.

Sunward holds the ideal of sustainable development, to put environment, safety, health and quality into practice as our operation goals.
