Sunward Refractories Co., Ltd. was founded in 1968 to produce high temperature refractory materials for both the Taiwanese domestic and overseas markets. The company's superior quality has gained recognition and a loyal customer base.

Sunward has been a trusted supplier of the General Headquarters of the Taiwan United Services Command, and has signed a long-term supply agreement with the China Steel Corporation.

In November 2020, Sunward became a part of the Imerys Group, the world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions, offering value-added solutions based on its minerals and formulations, and contributing essential properties to customers’ products and performance, including refractoriness. With Imerys’ support, Sunward will focus on product stability, improvement and innovation.
